Short Coat (F1)

The short jacket is very simple to knit and can sometimes be done away with completely by using clever colour changes on the body instead.

You will need:

  • yarn scraps
  • knitting needles (3mm)
  • tapestry needle
  • scissors

Pattern:

Cast on 16 sts and work in the flat.

  1. Row 1: k –
  2. Row 2: p –

Repeat rows 1 and 2 eight more times each (eighteen rows total), then cast off.

Making Up:

Find the cast off edge of the knitting. Fold the last few stitches on each side inwards and sew into place. Wrap the coat tightly around the keyring buddy body so that the shoulders fit into the folds. Sew into place.

Note that knitted coats are attached to the body before attaching the arms.
