Doll (R3)
This plain doll can be adjusted to look like any character you like. With hair, different colours, embroidery, accessories...

You will need:
- yarn leftovers (double knit)
- toy stuffing
- popping corn
- 4 x double ended needles (3mm)
- tapestry needle
- scissors
Pattern:

Body
Cast on 28 sts and join into the round.
- Round 1: k –
- Round 2: [kfb, k11, kfb, k1] x 2 (32)
- Round 3: k –
- Round 4: [kfb, k13, kfb, k1] x 2 (36)
Knit the next 18 rows straight.
- Round 23: [k1, k2tog, k13, k2tog] x 2 (32)
- Round 24: k –
- Round 25: [k1, k2tog, k11, k2tog] x 2 (28)
Cast off.
Stuff with the body with un-popped popping corn and sew the ends together so that it is shaped like a flattened square.
Arms/Legs
Cast on 8 sts and join into the round.

- Round 2: [kfb, k1] x 4 (12)
- Rounds 3 to 5: k –
- Round 6: [kfb, k3, kfb, k1] x 2 (16)
- Rounds 7 to 9: k –
- Round 10: [kfb, k5, kfb, k1] x 2 (20)
- Rounds 11 to 13: k –
- Round 14: [kfb, k7, kfb, k1] x 2 (24)
- Rounds 15 to 19: k –
- Round 20: [k2tog, k4] x 4 (20)
- Round 21: k –
- Round 22: [k1, k2tog, k2] x 4 (16)
- Round 23: k –
- Round 24: [k2, k2tog] x 4 (12)
- Round 25: [k2tog, k1] x 4 (8)
Stuff the shape lightly with toy stuffing, cut yarn, pull through remaining sts and pull tight.
Make 4 in total.
Head
Cast on 12 sts and join into the round
- Round 1: k –
- Round 2: [kfb, kfb, k1] x 4
- Round 3: k –
- Round 4: [kfb, kfb, k5, kfb, kfb, k1] x 2
- Rounds 5 and 6: k –
- Round 7: [kfb, k11, kfb, k1] x 2
Knit the next 8 rounds straight.
- Round 16: [k1, k2tog, k11, k2tog] x 2
- Rounds 17 and 18: k –
- Round 19: [k1, k2tog, k2tog, k5, k2tog, k2tog]
- Round 20: k –
- Round 21: [k1, k2tog, k2tog] x 4
Stuff the shape lightly with toy stuffing and cast off. Flatten the shape and sew the ends closed.
Making Up:
Attach the head to the body half-way along one edge.
Sew one arm/leg to each corner.
Use a minimum amount of stitches. The doll will be sort of floppy but that's part of its charm.

Needle/Yarn Size
As with most ODDknit patterns the yarn and needle sizes in the "you will need" section are just a guide. Feel free to improvise with whatever needles and yarn you have lying around - that's half the fun!
